Phoenix Futures is looking to internally recruit a passionate and solution focussed Team Manager for the county wide Criminal Justice Team within our Derbyshire Recovery Partnership community drug and alcohol service. This role is Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week on a permanent contract, working with staff across the Derbyshire county. The location of office base is flexible and can be discussed at interview; it would be either Chesterfield, Ripley, Ilkeston, Swadlincote or Buxton. Salary is £28,500; increments are subject to appraisal.
As a Criminal Justice Team Manager you will passionately lead and drive your specialist team to further embed and develop the intensive treatment offer for all service users involved in the criminal justice system; you will effectively build strong working relationships, develop further pathways with key partner agencies, and proactively engage with service users who may be exiting prison services, subject to community orders (ATR, DRR and RAR) and involved with IOM teams and the National Probation Service. You’ll ensure regular and appropriate liaison with these partners and attend multi‑disciplinary meetings, sharing relevant information with our key partner agencies, services and teams.
You will manage a multi‑disciplinary team responsible for the assessment and delivery of a comprehensive community‑based treatment service, involving the delivery of effective interventions through meaningful structured key working and group work. You will be confident in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partnership agencies, promoting the service and its outcomes to commissioners and stakeholders. You will be highly motivated and innovative with team and service development, ensuring high ethical and professional standards of care and practice are met.
About You
We are looking for someone with previous experience within the field of substance use, who is self‑motivated, can work on their own initiative, and more importantly as part of a team and possesses good leadership, communication and organisational skills. The ideal candidate will be confident, dynamic and forward‑thinking, have experience of line management, safeguarding, partnership working and working with people presenting with substance, alcohol and associated issues, and have a keen understanding of recovery. As this role is county‑wide, you must possess a driving licence with access to a vehicle for work.
