About The Role

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to fill the role of Lived Experience Service Coordinator, focusing on the social inclusion element of the Futures Together service in Essex.

Futures Together is a commissioned service combining the expertise of two Essex Phoenix Futures services – the Criminal Justice service and the Social Inclusion service. Our team is committed to providing support and social inclusion opportunities for people who use our services, and across Essex to make a positive impact.

As Lived Experience Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for maximising opportunities, designing and delivering workshops for the people who use our services to reach their education and training goals.

The role will require fostering relationships with local training and employment providers across Essex to secure new and meaningful training and employment opportunities, which will be facilitated by conducting regular scoping exercises with the people who use our services.

To create a menu of supportive groups for services including Gypsy Roma Traveller, Carers and Families, and those in active addiction.

Work in collaboration with team members, peer mentors, volunteers and those who use our services to co-produce, design and deliver therapeutic and training.

To adapt to learners needs, encourage group participation to enhance the learning process.

Create an inclusive and interactive environment, guiding participants through their learning journey, fostering self-discovery and collaborative learning.

Establish and maintain relationships with the community and partners to secure opportunities to deliver groups and training packages within premises, and community settings.

Liaise with the rest of the team to identify training requirements of service users and where appropriate develop bespoke training to meet identified training needs.

To understand the barriers to employment for service users & employers working with county providers to develop & maintain links for service users.

To support service users through workshops & training to identify their strengths and areas of development to help inform care plan support needed.

To ensure the service remains a safe and drug free environment by linking in with treatment providers where service users’ relapse or at risk of relapsing.

In conjunction with the team, ensure a safe learning environment in which the diverse needs of learners can be appropriately met.

The role offers a work schedule of 37.5 hours per week, allowing for autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support. We are seeking a motivated and community focused individual who is enthusiastic about social inclusion and committed to supporting others.

Your Rewards

  • Starting salary of £24,637 per annum, pro rata. With the opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal.
  • This is a fixed term post until 31/03/2027.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays pro‑rata, (increasing each year to a maximum of 30 days)
