Role Overview
Phoenix Futures Services in Essex recruit, train and develop peer mentor volunteers to support and engage people who use our services in a holistic and trauma‑informed approach. Services we run in Essex include:
- Futures Together (Criminal Justice and Social Inclusion services)
- Essex Liaison and Diversion
- Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT)
- Drug and Alcohol Street Support (DASS)
- Phoenix Housing and Supported Tenancy (HoSTs)
- ESAT service
Purpose of the Role
- Support with the running and delivery of services.
- Support with the running and facilitation of groups.
- Provide support and encouragement to people accessing community services and activities.
- Use lived experience and knowledge to help design and co‑produce services and support new initiatives.
- Offer one-to‑one peer mentoring to service users who have been referred for this support where appropriate.
