Your Rewards

  • Salary of £24,637 per annum (pro-rata) with opportunity for potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, rising to £28,000.

The Role

As a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker, you will support people involved in the Criminal Justice System who are facing complex and additional needs and want to access treatment and support.

Working with a range of agencies within criminal justice settings, including the courts, you will signpost and refer people to appropriate support agencies and safeguard their reintegration into the community.

The role will involve:

  • Undertaking assessments for people who are subject to a Conditional Caution, Community Resolutions or Drug Test on Arrest requirements providing structured harm reduction interventions and making onward referrals
  • Supporting people in recovery through relapse prevention and care planning
  • Building effective working partnerships with other agencies
  • Supporting those being released from custody to engage with community services

About You

To join us as a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker, you will need:

  • Relevant experience of working in the field of problematic substance use, mental health or another comparable field
  • Evidence of effective partnership working and the ability to network for the benefit of the client and service
  • Evidence of managing a caseload and excellent organisational skills
  • To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and be familiar with relevant database management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience of creating person-centred care plans and/or timetables based on identified needs would be advantageous, as would experience of partnership working, liaising with community and criminal justice services and developing reintegration and resettlement plans.
