As a Recovery worker you will be providing harm reduction to those with substance use issues and supporting in their recovery through relapse prevention and care planning. You will also act as an advocate for these service users, signposting and referring to the necessary agencies in order to support them in their recovery holistically. As a Recovery worker you will have knowledge of recovery, care planning and will have the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide harm reduction and support recovery through relapse prevention and care planning.
  • Advocate for service users and signpost/referral to appropriate agencies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external agencies to support holistic recovery.
  • Contribute to care planning and ensure consistent client engagement.

Qualifications and personal attributes

  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Dynamic and forward-thinking approach.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults presenting with substance, alcohol and associated issues is preferred.

Working pattern

This role will require occasional late shifts and weekends on a rota basis (8am-8pm Monday-Sunday).
