We are recruiting a Therapeutic Worker to join our innovative Enhanced Therapeutic Community Residential Service in Oakwood, Derby. The service provides residential rehabilitation in a brand‑new facility opening Winter 2022, offering on‑site staff bedrooms with en‑suite, a gym and parking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload and assess individuals accessing the residential rehabilitation programme.
- Develop and apply therapeutic approaches to meet the individual needs of users, including employment, education, health and social interaction.
- Coordinate care from referral to discharge, ensuring care plans meet user and stakeholder expectations.
- Deliver therapeutic groups, activities and specialised interventions in line with the TC manual.
- Support the day‑to‑day operation of the therapeutic community and promote a culture of recovery.
- Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners while maintaining the service’s reputation.
- Ensure safeguarding and protection of adult and child users.
- Attend a 4‑week rolling rota covering evenings, nights and weekends.
Eligibility and Skills
- Understanding of complex issues faced by people in drug and alcohol recovery.
- Experience working with families or individuals in the substance use sector or a related field.
- Innovative and flexible approach to meeting service needs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with multi‑agency partners.
- Knowledge of adult and child protection and safeguarding, required for working with vulnerable families.

Working Hours and Schedule
- Full‑time role averaging 37.5 hours per week.
