We are looking for a practice manager to lead, develop services and grow the practice. You should be a highly motivated individual who adopts a proactive and innovative approach to the general day-to-day operation and delivery of GP primary care services. The ideal candidate must have previous general practice management experience with exceptional leadership skills, competency in office IT, HR knowledge and communication skills.
Main duties of the job include managing and coordinating all aspects of the Practice's day-to-day business, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance, and ensuring the Practice achieves its long-term strategies.

Our team includes 4 GPs, 2 ANPs, a PA, PN, HCA, supported by a strong and experienced administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Manager to join a stable, supportive team and play a key role in leading and developing our services.
Job responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Partners in the project management of new equitable access services.
- Helping establish effective working practices for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Assisting in the management of the Practice Team, including supporting line managers and operational line management of the clinical team.
- Managing staff rotas and the annual leave process for all practice staff.
- Conducting yearly appraisals of non-clinical staff.
- Managing patient registrations and the recording of patient information.
- Providing administrative support for Chronic Disease Management of patients.
- Managing processes relevant to patient referrals and acting as medical secretary when necessary.
- Answering patient queries face to face or on the telephone.
- Maintaining regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety/environmental procedures.
Confidentiality: Under the Data Protection Act 1998, the postholder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients and staff. The work is of a confidential nature and information gained must not be communicated to other persons except in the recognised course of duty.
Health & Safety: Employees must be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) to ensure that the agreed procedures are carried out to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Qualifications required include a good standard of general education (GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths), evidence of continuous professional development, management experience, and a degree or equivalent qualification in Business Management or Healthcare Management.
