Operations Excellence Lead
Reporting to the COO, the Operations Excellence Lead will drive efficiency and improvement across Bloom & Wild’s operational network, bridging data‑driven strategy and hands‑on execution.
Key responsibilities
- 3rd Party Supplier Governance & Performance Management: Monitor performance of key 3rd‑party suppliers and ensure KPI delivery. Lead high‑value strategic projects that improve cost, quality or customer experience. Support quarterly SteerCos and executive briefings. Lead peak‑season retrospectives to create scalable improvements. Plan and coordinate end‑to‑end Mother’s Day production, aligning teams and suppliers.
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Transformation: Lead end‑to‑end projects across owned and 3rd‑party sites to increase efficiencies and deliver cost savings. Analyse operational data to set performance baselines, identify best‑in‑class practices, and uncover high‑value opportunities. Act as an internal consultant for the VP of Operations, delivering projects that drive value. Manage implementation of new standards, ensuring training and adoption.
- Non‑flower Category Range Expansion: Collaborate with operational, range and commercial teams to scale inventory and fulfilment systems for non‑floral gifts, foods, and home goods. Optimize processes to support add‑on range growth without compromising core floral operations.
- Scaling Innovation: Identify and lead AI‑driven initiatives to automate workflows and scale operations efficiently.
- Analyst & Advisor to the COO: Conduct deep‑dive analyses and prepare business cases for executive decisions. Analyse budget and performance variations to uncover root causes and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications and skills
- Consulting background of 3+ years, with structured problem‑solving and stakeholder management.
- Hands‑on operational experience in a fast‑paced e‑commerce or retail setting with production, warehousing or fulfilment.
- Strong analytical and data‑driven mindset, able to tell a narrative from data.
