We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team of dedicated, hard-working colleagues, who contribute to an established culture of supporting students with additional needs. Some of the duties and responsibilities are:
- Provide classroom support for students with speech, language and communication, social and emotional difficulties through:
- Supporting individual and group work to raise core skills, supporting Personalised Learning Plans and help students access the national curriculum.
- Assisting students to access the school curriculum and in the use of general support to students in line with Education, Health and Care Plans or planned provision.
- Assisting in the assessment of students’ attainment and with the recording and monitoring of students’ progress.
- Assisting with the supervision of students on school trips/visits.
You will have attained GCSE grade 4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) and ideally, will have experience of working with children or young people in an education setting.
