Phoenix Business Services UK is seeking an experienced Care Supervisor on behalf of one of our respected care clients in the beautiful County of Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity for a care professional with a strong leadership background to play a key role in delivering exceptional standards of person-centred care.
About the Role
You will work closely with the Home Manager and wider team to lead care delivery, mentor colleagues, and ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and regulatory compliance are met. You will act as a visible leader, motivating your team and being a daily presence in the home, supporting both staff and residents. In the manager's absence, you will take full responsibility for the running of the service, ensuring operations remain seamless, compassionate, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily care activities with a focus on empathy, dignity, and individualised support.
- Maintain and audit digital care plans (e.g. via systems like Nourish or similar).
- Oversee medication administration processes, staff competencies, and audits.
- Support and coach care teams, providing feedback, supervision, and competency checks.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and professionals such as GPs and community health services.
- Handle audits, incident reporting, safeguarding, and regulatory submissions.
- Be part of the on-call duty rota as needed.
- Contribute to pre-admission assessments and transitional support for new residents.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 4/5 desirable)
- At least 4 years' experience in the care sector, with 2 years in a leadership role
- Confident in assessing care needs and writing person-centred care plans
- Solid understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, medication procedures, and audit processes
- A true team motivator with exceptional communication and leadership skills
- A full UK driving licence with access to transport (business insurance required)
