Role Overview

We are looking for a confident and detail-focused Credit Controller to join our growing Finance team in Peterlee. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys managing relationships as much as managing numbers. As a Credit Controller, you will play a critical role in protecting the company's cash flow, managing an assigned portfolio of customer accounts, and ensuring debts are collected in a timely and professional manner. You will also work closely with our Customer Success team, providing cover during periods of annual leave so that our customers always receive a consistently excellent level of service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of proven experience in a credit control role
  • AAT level 3
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software, including Sage Intact and other platforms
  • A positive, proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, including supporting customer service during busy or short-staffed periods
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, completing assigned tasks within strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
