Mission: To bring analytical rigour, commercial awareness, and structured thinking to the product organisation translating complexity into clarity, surfacing insight that drives better decisions, and ensuring that what gets built is grounded in evidence, not assumption.
Responsibilities (What you’ll do):
- Lead discovery workstreams for new features and platform improvements across all product lines.
- Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and current-state assessments before solutions are proposed.
- Evaluate feature usage and client behaviour data to make evidence-based recommendations for roadmap prioritisation.
- Identify patterns across product lines and surface insights that inform strategic product and commercial decisions.
- Produce high-quality functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Own process documentation across complex workflows to ensure they’re accurate, version-controlled, and audit-ready.
- Maintain a clear decision trail for significant product and change decisions.
- Work closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to feed discovery intelligence into roadmap sessions and planning cycles.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure requirements are technically sound and well understood before work begins.
- Partner with client-facing teams to ensure product and release communications are accurate, well-framed, and appropriately timed.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the scoping and costing of change requests.
- Identify opportunities where client demand could inform core platform development.
- Contribute structured, evidence-based analysis to business cases for new features and platform investments.
Skills & Competencies (What we’re looking for):
- 4 years’ experience in a Business Analysis role, preferably within a regulated financial services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, a related discipline, or BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
- Demonstrable track record of working across multiple product areas or domains.
- Adaptable and priority-driven.
- Commercial awareness.
- Demonstrable skills in documenting complex principles.
- Confident stakeholder management.
- Excellent written communication.
- Strong analytical thinking.
Desirable:
- Experience with mortgage, loan, or savings servicing platforms.
- Familiarity with FCA regulatory requirements.
- Experience contributing to or owning commercial scoping and change request processes.
- Strong Jira Knowledge.
- Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development.
- Demonstrable experience of working in an agile environment.
- Experience of business transformation and change management.
Your role as Business Analyst reports into the Head of Product Management. You’ll work closely with external customer stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers, industry experts, and internal ELT members, product teams, delivery teams, architecture teams, and operations.
