Responsibilities
- Support the Transport Manager with the transportation of goods, selecting appropriate modes of transport (e.g., air, sea, road) based on factors such as cost, time, and product characteristics.
- Prepare and submit customs documentation, including import and export declarations, certificates of origin, and other required paperwork.
- Ensuring that all required customs documentation and trade agreements are accurate and complete.
- Submitting necessary documentation to customs authorities and support any required inspections or examinations
- Coordinating with the warehouse(s) to ensure timely receipt, quality check and storage of finished goods.
- Coordinating pickup and delivery times with clients and carriers.
- Preparing necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Determining the most efficient routes for all inbound shipments based on factors such as distance, time, cost, and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities, including shipment documentation, customs declarations, and invoices.
- Prepare reports and analyses on transportation performance and costs.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
- Verify the accuracy of supplier documentation for each shipment, including pre-advice for DCs.
- Review and discuss weekly deliveries with the different Production teams.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required
- Booking Daily Raw Materials and Product Development sample shipments with couriers/freight
- Organize and follow all finished goods in-bound shipments by air and road freight to ensure goods are promptly dispatched and tracked through to delivery into the DC
- Updating Raw Materials/Finished Goods shipping tracker
- Check supplier documentation is correct for each shipment, including pre-advice for DCs
- Resolve issues during the shipping period, communicating any delays to the relevant departments
- ASN creation in Zedonk for the inbound shipments and sending ASN to Alpi and making sure they received and closed the ASN.
- Upload Products HTS codes for the products in Zedonk
- Review and discuss with RTW and LG Production deliveries weekly
- Review all the products scientific names and compositions in Zedonk
- Organizing and monitoring any ad-hoc shipments for other departments or suppliers.
