Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Head of IT, this role assists with the development and maintenance of the IT applications for Phoebe Philo Ltd, ensuring that the applications necessary to support the business are user friendly, effective, cost-efficient, secure and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with all departments across the organisation to understand their requirements and work with them to select and implement technology to support their needs, including:
- Front end ecommerce stack: work with the digital team to ensure that the front end ecommerce stack is optimised, resilient, secure and compliant
- Airtable: work with the product development and the rest of the business teams to understand their needs and further enhance the Airtable solution that supports the unique design and development process of the company
- Finance: work with the finance team to ensure that the systems for accounting, reporting, accounts payable, online payments, VAT and payroll are optimised, resilient, secure and compliant
- Logistics: work with the logistics team to ensure that the right systems are working well and improved for carrier management, shipping labels, returns handling, etc
- Sustainability: work with the sustainability, development and production teams to optimise systems for collecting and tracking sustainability data
- Integrations: ensure that the system integrations, including middleware, are optimised, resilient, secure and compliant
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required
- Degree in Computer Science, or demonstrable experience
- 3-5 yearsβ experience in technology roles within fashion with experience of e-commerce, product development and product and support functions in fashion (ideally luxury fashion)
- Experience in a start-up/scale-up situation with demonstrated capability to continuously update and improve technology stack moving through the different growth stages of a starting fashion company
- Knowledge of relevant current and emerging computer architecture and technologies, application development techniques and suppliers/partners
- Experience with relevant systems in use β e.g.,
- Shopify, Hubspot, Powerfront in front end stack
- Avalara for tax
- Global-E for international expansion
- JOOR for wholesale
- Brightpearl for inventory and order management
- Airtable for PLM and other business processes not covered in other solutions
- Microsoft Business Central, Concur, SDI (Italian Tax platform) in Finance
- No/low code platforms like MAKE for middleware
