Purpose of the role
Manage all aspects of compliance, including market access and labelling, quality assurance across RM and FG, application of sustainability protocols within the accessories division and across product categories. Oversee product industrialisation timeline and support the Italian team with issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Vendor compliance
- Aspects of Vendor onboarding
- Implementation and monitoring of PP Vendor Manual policies
- Info gathering on subcontractors, audits, certifications etc.
- Support any legal compliance matter
- Product testing for all categories/all geographies
- Establish and implement the RM testing protocols for each season/product category, across physical, mechanical and chemical.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to implement.
- Problem solving
- Sign off of testing results.
- Owner of the testing and compliance process for sunglasses, including the assembly of tech packs.
- Maintaining archive and database information of product due diligence.
- Budget owner for the above activities
- Product compliance - all categories/all geographies
- Define disclaimers/testing/wear trial need for finished goods across all categories.
- Research and implementation of product compliance needs for commercialisation of the collection worldwide (to be reflected in swing tickets, testing protocols etc).
- Responsible for the quality assurance and compliance of the jewellery category across different materials.
- Other compliance matters that arise ad hoc with the development of the brand.
- Create protocols for any new internal process
- Industrialisation
- Owner of the industrialisation of Raw Materials: Sign off and distribute to the relevant stakeholder masters and tech sheets for raw materials.
- Communicate with tanneries and vendors on protocols and needs.
- Coordinate the work of our Raw Materials R&D partners for all industrialisation/production related tasks.
- With the Director of the division, issue the industrialisation calendar for all categories of products from initial technical review to delivery of production.
- Own the industrialisation process of Sunglasses and Jewellery from hand over from development to delivery of finished product to the warehouse.
- Troubleshooting of any quality issue that should arise during the production process.
- Support where required the technical team in Italy in the industrialisation process of Leathergoods, belts and shoes.
- Budget owner for the above activities.
- On the base of the division calendar, coordinate the different steps and approvals of finished product for a timely and qualitative delivery.
- Maintain trackers and team updates sheets.
- Work closely with the Director of the division to update and improve processes with the aim of speedier/smoother production flows and increased efficiency.
- Quality Assurance all categories
- Responsible for training our QC inspection partners on QC parameters for Jewellery and sunglasses, for producing the needed documentation in support of training and providing ongoing support.
- Collaborate with the Italian tech team on the above for Leathergoods and Shoes, prepare the QC parameters for these product categories and support the training of our QC inspection partners.
- Returns
- Returns process point of contact in the division (in connection with structure at the warehouse).
- Sign off outcome from returns inspections and provide support when needed.
- Scheduling and coordination of the training of our warehouse partners for returns.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders on any query that may arise.
- Product Sustainability
- Vendors CSR (audits, manual submission etc).
- In line with the company strategy, strive to elevate our work on leathers with the implementation of more sustainable sourcing and impact projects.
- Collection of sustainability info across tanneries and vendors.
- Coordinate the work of “Fairly Made”, the platform we use for supply chain mapping.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required
- Sensibility for product and time spent working in a product role in a luxury environment.
- Firsthand experience of product quality.
- Experience of working in a Raw Materials coordination position.
- Italian language spoken and written is essential.
- Experience of product performance and testing in a luxury environment.
- Curious mindset: this position implies constant learning, having to keep updated and investigation.
- Ability to analyse in depth and finding solution is key.
- Persuasion and relational skill – this position has many stakeholders. Ability to build relations with them is key.
- Organisational skills are key as this position coordinates different work streams that need to converge and adhere to a tight timeline.
