The Atelier Assistant’s role is to support in the daily operations of the atelier. This role offers a dynamic mix of technical, creative and administrative responsibilities, with involvement across key stages of garment development and atelier coordination.
Responsibilities
- Support the Atelier Manager with day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare fittings, including organizing the garments to be in good conditions
- Maintain and update atelier inventory
- Assist with order management
- Support pattern cutting and assist in developing prototypes
- Assist seamstresses and the sample cutter with the ongoing garments
- Contribute to prototyping and sample development processes
- Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, data entry, and file organization
- Provide support on creative tasks when required

- Consistent delivery of impeccably prepared garments for fittings and presentations
- Accuracy and timeliness in supporting sample and final garment production
- Minimal errors or rework due to preparation, handling, or communication gaps

Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required
- Right to work in the UK
- Education in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Pattern Making, or a related field.
- Interest in the technical part of a garment and atelier practices
- Basic knowledge of pattern cutting and garment construction is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a proactive, hands-on attitude
- Good communication skills
