This role offers graduates the opportunity to gain experience in the daily running of a fast-paced Leather Goods and Accessories Design team within a luxury design house. The Graduate Trainee will provide support to the team, helping to cultivate new ideas and develop the collection.
Responsibilities:
- Support the research of new bags and accessories for shape, construction and details
- Produce internal 3D mock-ups in a timely manner for presentations
- Update the weekly bag collection plan
- Produce renderings and CAD drawings of bags and belts designs for approval
- Update the digital design server
- Ensure the organisation of the studio archive
- Assist with the general organisation of the department and provide support to the Design team
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required:
- Experience and interest in Accessories Design, especially in making and working in the atelier
- Degree level in Design
- Proven ability to sketch
- Technical capability to create mock-ups and work in 3D
- Understanding of leathers and fabrics
- Collaborative team player with strong initiative
- High level of creativity
- Flexible and adaptable
- Strong organisational skills
- Computer skills – proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator (+ InDesign)
