We are seeking a commercially minded and analytically driven Commercial Analyst to join our Head Office team. This role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the business. You will work closely with the Head of Commercial & the wider Finance team and collaborate with departments such as Operations, Marketing and HR to provide data-led recommendations that improve sales performance, operating margins and general business KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse sales, labour, and margin data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik).
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics across the restaurant estate.
- Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams, translating data into clear insights recommendations.
- Support operational and commercial decision-making with timely, relevant analysis.
- Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
- Commercial Insight
- Evaluate the impact of promotions, pricing strategies, and menu changes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with data-driven inputs.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business cases and strategic initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Essential:
- Experience in BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik) and advanced user of Excel.
- Solid understanding of commercial metrics such as sales, labour cost, and gross margin.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Desirable:
- Proven experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role, ideally within retail or hospitality.
- Familiarity with restaurant or multi-site operations.
- Knowledge of financial modelling or forecasting techniques.
