Due to a high level of growth, we are looking for a NVQ Level 2 qualified Pharmacy Dispenser to join our Manchester hub on a permanent basis. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires a mixture of shift and weekend working. You will be working alongside our pharmacy team, including pharmacy manager, pharmacists, accuracy checking technician and dispensers. This role is suited to an experienced, UK-qualified NVQ2 dispenser who enjoys multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. As Phlo is a digital pharmacy, you won’t be involved with face-to-face patient interactions. You’ll also be working to pace to dispense medications in our main pharmacy dispensing hub. We use a range of bespoke platforms and systems, therefore being comfortable with technology is essential.
The Job On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:
- Dispensing prescriptions efficiently and accurately
- Generating dispensing labels using the computer systems
- Assembling and labelling medicines
- Referring enquiries and problems to the on-duty pharmacist
- Gathering, organising and assessing patient information
- Ensuring items are stored at the correct temperatures and updating the control records
- Ensuring workspace is clean, tidy and organised
- Ensuring all dispensing equipment is clean and maintained
- Ensuring prescriptions are filed correctly
- Supporting the Pharmacist with ad hoc duties as required
The Person Ideally, we're looking for someone with the following:
- NVQ Level 2 UK Dispensary Assistant Qualification
- Highly comfortable using and adapting to various tech systems and processes
- Experience working in a busy pharmacy
- Experience in community pharmacy dispensing NHS prescriptions is desirable
- Experience dispensing for an online pharmacy is desirable
- Good understanding of the NHS prescription system
- Knowledge of pharmacy PMR systems
- Comfortable multi-tasking and working at pace
- High attention to detail
- Dedicated to the patient experience and customer care
- DBS check compliant
- Comfortable with shift and weekend working
