We’re looking for a Product Owner to join our team. This is a new full‑time, permanent role within our Product team. You’ll take ownership of a product area, working alongside engineers, designers and testers – and partnering closely with teams across the business – to deliver digital products that meet business requirements and, most importantly, patient needs. As a high‑growth tech start‑up, no two days are the same. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Product Owner who can own prioritisation, planning and delivery within their area from day one. You’ll be trusted to balance user needs, business goals and competing priorities, so commercial awareness, strong communication and adaptability are essential. Most importantly, we want you to share our vision and understand that the work that you do has a direct impact on our patients and their healthcare.

The Job

  • Owning and managing the product backlog – writing user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritising features to maximise the value you deliver.
  • Driving prioritisation and roadmap planning for your product area, balancing user needs and business goals alongside sequencing and capacity, while adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Partnering with Engineering, Design and Testing to own delivery for your area, managing timescales and scope to ensure successful, high‑quality releases.
  • Taking part in and facilitating agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives and collaborating with the team to agree and evolve ways of working.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the business – including Clinical, Pharmacy and Marketing – to understand problems to be solved, translate them into requirements and ensure the right features are built.
  • Using data and user feedback to inform decisions, monitor progress and adjust direction.
  • Managing technical dependencies in partnership with technical teams and applying commercial and market insight to shape prioritisation within your domain.

The Person

  • Demonstrable experience in a Product Owner or equivalent product delivery role, with a track record of owning prioritisation, roadmap planning and delivery within a product area.
  • Experience working in an Agile product development team, comfortable facilitating ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align expectations and collaborate across Clinical, Pharmacy, Marketing, Design, Engineering and Testing.
  • A data‑driven, analytical mindset, using data and user feedback to inform decisions and evaluate outcomes.
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to apply market insight to prioritisation and product decisions.
  • Confident managing technical dependencies in partnership with technical teams.
  • Comfortable sharing knowledge and supporting the development of less experienced team members.
  • Well organised, able to balance competing priorities and adapt to a fast‑moving environment.
  • A relevant degree, certification or equivalent practical experience.
  • A passion for technology and the digital healthcare sector.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for AI and an interest in using it to work smarter – it’s central to how we work at Phlo.

The Perks

  • Salary between £40,000 and £55,000 depending on experience.
  • Opportunity to join a high‑growth online pharmacy.
  • Regular collaboration with other teams in the business (Clinical, Pharmacy, Marketing) to continually shape and enhance our services.
  • Company Bonus Scheme – up to 10% depending on performance.
  • 33 days annual leave (inclusive of 8 bank holidays).
  • An extra day of annual leave for every complete year of service, up to 5 extra days.
  • An extra day off for your Birthday to prolong the celebrations.
  • Pension scheme – 5% employer contribution.
  • Private Medical Insurance via Vitality.
  • Bereavement Leave policy covering family, friends, pets and miscarriage.
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Pay after 1 year of service.
  • Charity Day to support a cause that’s important to you.
  • Dependant Leave to take care of the people who rely on you.
  • Duvet Days to rest and reset.
  • Fertility Leave to support your journey to parenthood.
  • Pawternity Leave to welcome a new pet.
  • Menopause Leave to support employees.
  • 20% Staff Discount on Phlo Clinic products.
  • 8 x free professional counselling sessions to support your mental health.
  • Perkbox membership for discounts and points.
  • £500 Employee Referral Scheme.
  • Hybrid working, casual dress code and a great culture.
