PHL UK LTD is looking for a Forklift Service Engineer to join our growing Service team.
We are looking for someone who already has a mechanical and/or electrical background and would like to develop their skills within the forklift and material handling industry.
Experience could come from industries such as automotive, plant machinery, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, HGV/LGV, PSV, roadside recovery, REME or similar mechanical/electrical environments.
Your Role Will Include
- Servicing and maintaining forklifts
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Repairing and replacing parts
- Working with electric, diesel and LPG forklifts
- Working with basic hydraulic systems
- Working with batteries and charging systems
- Checking brakes, steering, wheels, chains and other components
- What We Are Looking For
Essential requirements
- Previous mechanical and/or electrical experience
- Understanding of how machines or vehicles work
- Practical and confident using tools
- Willingness xiskglj to learn and develop
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Forklift experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
