Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service (IUC CAS) Partnering Health Group is a leading provider of integrated urgent and primary care services, delivering high-quality healthcare to communities across Staffordshire. Our services are designed around patients, ensuring they receive timely, safe and compassionate care whenever they need it.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) to join our Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service (IUC CAS). Location: Cannock Chase Hospital, County Hospital and Sir Robert Peel. Travel across Staffordshire will be required to support our Face-to-Face and Home Visiting services when needed.

The Role: Working within our Out of Hours Clinical Assessment Service, you’ll provide expert clinical assessment and decision-making for patients accessing urgent care. Through remote consultations and, where required, face-to-face assessments or home visits, you’ll ensure patients receive the right care, first time. You’ll use your advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat and prescribe independently, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider health system.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients of all ages presenting with urgent, acute and long-term conditions.
  • Deliver high-quality telephone and digital consultations.
  • Prescribe safely within your scope of practice.
  • Refer patients appropriately across primary, community, secondary and emergency care services.
  • Recognise deteriorating patients and initiate emergency treatment where required.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and act in line with local and national guidance.
  • Provide clear safety-netting, discharge advice and follow-up plans.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and work within professional and clinical governance standards.
  • Support service quality, patient safety and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Registered with the NMC or HCPC.
  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent), including Independent/Non-Medical Prescribing.
  • Minimum six years post-registration experience.
  • At least three years’ experience in General Practice, Urgent Treatment Centre, Emergency Department or another urgent care setting.
  • Confident working independently as an Advanced Practitioner.
  • Level 3 Safeguarding Adults and Children.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.

Working Hours: Our Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service operates:

  • Weekdays: 6:00pm – 8:00am
  • Weekends & Bank Holidays: 24 hours
