We are working with a mid-sized private equity backed organisation based in Warrington to appoint a Financial Controller. As Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, working closely with the wider leadership team to oversee all financial aspects of the business. You will play a central role in driving high quality financial management, optimising working capital, supporting strategic decision making and enabling the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a finance team, fostering strong financial discipline, accuracy and continuous improvement across day to day operations.
- Deliver monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior stakeholders, enhancing processes to improve the quality, clarity, and timeliness of financial information.
- Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support strategic decision making, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and project performance tracking.
- Oversee end to end finance operations, controls and compliance whilst driving process and system improvements across the wider business.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical expertise across UK GAAP, tax compliance and statutory reporting.
- Proven experience managing core finance operations in complex, multi-site environments including financial controls, month end close, management accounts, cash flow forecasting and WIP accounting.
- Commercially astute with strong analytical capability.
