We are exclusively partnering with a leading financial services group to appoint an Associate within its Valuation & Structuring team. This pivotal role sits at the heart of an ambitious and highly active acquisition strategy, providing the opportunity to analyse, value and structure transactions across the UK market.

You will play a key role in evaluating acquisition opportunities, assessing financial forecasts, and shaping strategic decisions throughout the adviser lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the development of sophisticated financial models to support acquisition valuations and strategic decision-making.
  • Assessing target company performance to determine appropriate valuation methodologies and pricing recommendations.
  • Conducting sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling to evaluate deal structures, commercial terms and potential financial outcomes.
  • Preparing high-quality financial reports, presentations and investment papers, clearly articulating valuation assumptions and conclusions.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders across the business to ensure financial models align with strategic objectives.
  • Providing insight into optimal transaction structures, including earn-outs, financing arrangements and exit considerations.
  • Partnering with legal, finance and commercial teams to ensure transactions meet strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting financial due diligence activities across prospective acquisitions.
  • Ensuring valuation assumptions and transaction structures are accurately reflected within integration planning processes.
  • Performing post-acquisition analysis to evaluate financial performance, value creation and return on investment.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in financial modelling, valuation and transaction structuring within investment banking, corporate finance or a Big Four advisory firm.
  • Experience within financial services, particularly the UK financial advice market, would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, deal structuring and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including FCA requirements, adviser business models and client servicing structures, is desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with a strategic and commercially minded approach.
  • ACA, CFA or a similar professional qualification is highly desirable.
