We are partnering with a dynamic, Private Equity-backed Financial Services business at a key inflection point in its growth journey. Operating in a regulated, client-focused sector with a strong national footprint and a growing M&A pipeline, the business is now seeking a high-calibre FP&A Director to lead and evolve its financial planning and performance capability.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-quality leadership team, reporting directly to a commercially minded CFO who values clarity, pace, and partnership. You will play a central role in enabling strategic decision-making, enhancing financial visibility, and driving both organic and acquisitive growth. Beyond technical capability, this role requires someone who can help professionalise the function and elevate the business to its next level of maturity and scale.

  • Leading the full planning cycle: annual budgets, reforecasts, and long-range strategic plans aligned to ambitious corporate objectives.
  • Designing and refining financial models that drive better decisions across growth, investment, pricing, and margin optimisation.
  • Embedding a forward-looking performance culture through robust KPIs, real-time analytics, and meaningful commentary.
  • Driving the upgrade of FP&A processes, systems, and tools — building a scalable platform for future growth.
  • Supporting M&A execution and integration — from modelling and diligence through to post-deal performance tracking.
  • Developing and mentoring a capable FP&A team, raising the bar on financial insight and business partnership.

Professionally qualified (ACA, CIMA), with extensive experience in Financial Services — ideally from a regulated or distribution-led environment. Proven success in FP&A leadership within Private Equity-backed or fast-growth settings, with a strong understanding of investor and Board expectations. Deep analytical expertise and financial modelling skill, combined with commercial acumen and a sharp eye for business drivers. A collaborative, hands-on leader who brings structure, challenge, and pace to a scaling business. Strong communicator with the gravitas to engage senior stakeholders and contribute to broader business strategy. Passionate about continuous improvement, with the drive to build a best-in-class finance function that supports sustainable, profitable growth.
