We are supporting a highly acquisitive, UK-based FS business on a M&A Associate Director hire, to cover a period of leave (9-month fixed-term contract, commencing July, with a structured handover). The business has built a national presence over a number of years, combining organic growth with a consistent and well-executed acquisition strategy. It operates through a decentralised model, partnering with a large network of firms, supported by a central team that provides infrastructure, governance, and integration support.
With a well-established M&A function, the platform completes a high volume of transactions annually (20+ per year) and has a clearly defined approach to origination, execution, and post-deal integration. The team is experienced, collaborative, and operates at pace within a repeatable deal environment.
Role Overview:
- Step into a key role within an active, high-volume M&A pipeline
- Oversee multiple live transactions, ensuring timely and high-quality execution
- Provide direction across financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and transaction materials
- Lead, mentor, and review the work of a junior deal team
- Act as a senior point of contact internally, working closely with Directors and wider stakeholders
Candidate Profile:
- 8+ years’ M&A experience, from investment banking, private equity, or in-house corporate development
- Proven track record of end-to-end transaction execution
- Comfortable operating in a highly process-driven, fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience coaching and developing junior team members
Compensation:
Circa £100,000 per annum
Fully remote working model (no location restrictions across the UK)
