An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially minded finance leader to join a fast-growing, PE-backed financial services business during a transformative period of growth. Backed by a leading PE investor, the business has recently completed a number of strategic acquisitions and is continuing to invest heavily in both organic and inorganic growth initiatives. As the company scales, this newly enhanced Head of Finance role will play a pivotal part in shaping the finance function and supporting the next phase of its journey.
Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will act as a key strategic partner to the business, driving financial performance, enhancing reporting and insight, and helping to deliver on an ambitious growth agenda. This is a highly visible role offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence decision‑making at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities- Leading the FP&A function, providing high-quality analysis and commercial insight to support strategic decision‑making
- Overseeing and developing the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture and ensuring best‑in‑class financial operations
- Partnering closely with the executive leadership team to support the execution of the company's growth strategy and business plan
- Delivering monthly management accounts, Board reporting, and management information, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness
- Driving continuous improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking across the business
- Presenting financial performance, business plans, budgets, and quarterly reforecasts to senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Supporting strategic initiatives, including acquisition integration, process optimisation, and value creation projects
- Identifying opportunities to enhance commercial performance and improve financial visibility across the organisation
- Building strong relationships with operational stakeholders, acting as a trusted business partner across the wider business
- Ensuring robust financial controls, governance, and compliance with internal and external reporting requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience leading a finance function within a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
- Previous exposure to a private equity‑backed, venture‑backed, or high‑growth business would be highly advantageous
- Commercially astute with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
- Strong technical finance and analytical capabilities, with experience delivering robust reporting, forecasting, and planning processes
- A credible and influential business partner, capable of building relationships across both finance and non‑finance teams
