We are partnering with a private equity-backed, high-growth international insurance platform operating a multi-entity, specialty lines model. The business has scaled rapidly through a buy-and-build strategy, combining organic growth with strategic acquisitions, and continues to expand across multiple jurisdictions.

With strong backing and ambitious growth plans, the Group offers a fast-paced, high-performing but genuinely collaborative culture. This is an environment where pace is intense, expectations are high, but teams are well-supported and engaged—making it both challenging and highly rewarding.

This is a 6-month interim to permanent opportunity, reporting to the Finance Director, with full ownership of the finance operations and responsibility for leading and developing a well-established team.

The Role

  • Lead and oversee the group financial control function across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
  • Own and enhance the month-end close, controls and reporting processes
  • Partner the FD on M&A activity, including integration of newly acquired businesses
  • Drive improvements in data quality, processes, controls and scalability as the business grows
  • Support delivery of timely, high-quality reporting to senior leadership, investors and lenders
  • Act as a true leader of the finance function, developing capability and driving performance across the team
  • Contribute to wider commercial, operational and transformation initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • Ideally trained in practice with strong technical foundations
  • Experience in a buy-and-build / M&A environment, ideally within insurance, broking or financial services
  • Proven team leadership experience – this is a leadership role, not a hands-on “doer” position

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a solution-oriented mindset
