We are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth private equity-backed retail and consumer brand that is expanding internationally and seeking to appoint a Financial Controller. With operations across multiple markets and channels, the business is scaling rapidly and requires a strong finance professional to lead reporting consolidations and financial control while supporting strategic decision-making.

As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the group's financial control reporting and consolidation processes while supporting strategic planning and commercial decision-making. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage a small junior team and work closely with leadership, external stakeholders, and private equity investors. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will be both a guardian of financial discipline and a driver of process improvement, efficiency, and value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading monthly consolidated reporting across multiple entities and geographies.
  • Preparing management accounts, board packs, and investor reports.
  • Overseeing external audits, statutory compliance, and tax filings.
  • Driving budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning processes.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to analyse performance, margins, and working capital.
  • Developing and improving financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks.
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a small finance team.
  • Supporting projects including integrations, system improvements, and growth initiatives.

About You:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a strong technical background and post-qualification experience.
  • Proven background in group reporting, consolidations, and financial control.
  • Experience in a PE-backed retail, consumer, or multi-channel environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills with the ability to provide clear analysis and insight.
  • Confident communicator with strong influencing skills across senior stakeholders and investors.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial business.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing team members.
