Overview
In this role you will lead PHINIA’s global facilities strategy, driving efficient operations, cost savings, and sustainable practices. You’ll manage a cross‑functional team across offices, technical centers, and manufacturing sites, aligning with footprint planning and ESG goals. Expect to tackle capital planning, safety, and environmental compliance while partnering with site leaders to accelerate project delivery. Responsibilities
- Lead a global facilities team of managers for offices, technical centers, and manufacturing sites
- Maintain a global facility list addressing environmental concerns, audits, leasing terms, and markets
- Advise on capital expenditures for buildings, equipment, renovations, safety and environmental efforts
- Provide timely, cost-effective facility management direction
- Maintain monthly department budget/forecasts with cost savings and energy management focus
- Oversee document control for safety and environmental regulatory requirements
- Interact with global site security and support construction projects worldwide
- Respond to alarms and emergencies 24x7 and communicate with leadership during incidents
- Ensure upkeep of equipment, building systems and life safety to meet health/safety standards
- Manage utilities consumption to minimize costs; monitor Sustainability deliverables including Power Consumption Database
- Drive water and waste conservation initiatives and sustainability reporting
- Support HR initiatives related to facilities and coordinate global event planning
- Space planning aligned with footprint planning; oversee lease and property negotiations globally
- Monitor open environmental issues (reporting, remediation)
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, or facilities management
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in facilities management, safety, and environmental regulations (preferred)
- Willingness to travel 30–40%
- Proactive with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong project management and leadership/communication skills
- Technical understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC and coordination with suppliers
