The Business Development Specialist will focus on working with customers to enhance the PHINIA offering. With a focus on customer relationships, they will be responsible for driving improvements; building and implementing process enhancements to ensure innovation takes place.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and implement the commercial strategy to develop key performance indicators (revenues, margin, and overdues)
- Build and strengthen business relationships with existing clients
- Be an expert in the market: know who clients are, what market share is with distributors and platforms
- Understand the market and competitive environment; serve as the eyes and voice of PHINIA, providing weekly updates on all relevant information
- Monitor and support the country’s commercial strategy in the location
- Support the client portfolio and acquire new customers
- Work closely with business development manager, marketing, logistics, and technical teams
- Understand and analyze the competitive landscape
- Stimulate demand and foster customer loyalty
- Be responsible for achieving sector objectives: revenue, overdues, margin
- Meet SMART objectives validated with the manager to ensure goal achievement (e.g., number of visits, client/prospect visit ratio, follow-up on key clients)
- Provide clear reports through Sales Force/AIMI
- Provide all necessary information for proper client account management, including revenue tracking and project progress updates
- Develop business volume with existing clients (distributors)
- Implement an effective prospecting strategy to grow market share
- Follow company policy and KAM Group guidelines to streamline information exchange and facilitate business acquisition
- Be present at client events, trade shows, or regional promotions
- Develop the entire PHINIA product portfolio
- Provide support on sales request and forecasting process
- Enter information into Sales Force
- Serve as the market and environmental specialist
Education/Experience - Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar position
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidence at presenting
- Experience in multinational/multicultural companies
- Subject matter expertise in business process and digital technologies (applications, data analytics, online portals/catalogs, AI, etc.)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work harmoniously as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities
- Strong data analysis skills
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Focus on quality and customer‑centricity
Education/Experience – Preferred
