Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring site meet customer requirements (volumes, delivery paperwork, required PCL assessments, labelling), by scheduling and controlling production correctly to achieve on time shipments (right time, right part, right quantity), while optimising inventory and improving inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • To plan and coordinate production within the product line to ensure achievement of MPS targets taking advantage of the product line structure to drive efficiency in production planning.
  • To lead best practice production management of value stream bottlenecks to optimise production uptime and efficiency.
  • Proactively work to identify and mitigate production risks in the short term to minimise impact to the product line.
  • Customer Order Management Activities
  • Ensure ERP customer demand is up to date and correct in the system. Correct Customer SAP scheduling agreements
  • Maintain customer orders in ERP system to ensure accuracy.
  • Update customer releases for non‑EDI customers.
  • Monitor, reconcile and correct customer EDI in error.
  • Manage customer variations and elevate to management in case of a sudden change.
  • Support/coordinate customer-related cut‑off activities for new launches.
  • Be familiar with customer manuals and portals and check weekly for any changes.
  • Master Production Planning Activities
  • Review customer variations and assess inventory levels and build plans.
  • Coordinate S&OP meeting preparation and organize the meeting with all the functions (OPS, ME, IE, PC, SC, PM, Sales, HR, etc.).
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate rolling 16‑week manufacturing build plan. Load plan in ERP before MPR run day.
  • Coordinate weekly/daily build plan reviews with manufacturing.
  • React to customer demand variations and propose/agree dispatch plans.
  • Maintain MRP parameters for manufactured parts and FG.
  • Master Scheduling Activities
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the production schedule.
  • Daily update of visual production instruction tools (with the production schedules).
  • Check supermarket levels and schedule production to maximise output.
  • Monitor and manage finished goods inventory levels.
  • SAP Inventory Accuracy
  • Review backflush in ERP.
  • Ensure finished goods inventory is accurate.
  • Escalate unusual inventory discrepancies for appropriate counting/actions.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy (identify root cause for abnormalities and implement corrective actions).

Monitor blocked stock and negative inventory and ensure action items are identified and applied.

  • Monitoring and continuous improvement activities
  • Measure schedule attainment (volume and mix) and coordinate reviews with manufacturing.
  • Monitor visual production instruction tool throughout the day to evaluate manufacturing adherence to schedule.
  • React to abnormal situations to prevent customer shipment impact.
  • Monitor capacity versus demand short and long term and capture action plans (from OPS, HR, ME, IE, etc.) for gap closure.
  • Support new launches by ensuring clear production planning cut‑off activity based on available inventory level and inputs from ADV. PCL and wider department.
  • Escalates any customer quality concern immediately upon identification.
