Job Purpose
In the role of Senior Design Engineer, support design and development activities as well as manufacturing and aftermarket support for a full range of diesel fuel injection and exhaust treatment products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of diesel fuel injection system components
- Design and prepare concept 3D graphical models
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings using latest geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices
- Select and approve special characteristics on drawings
- Analyze customer’s and legislative test requirements and formulate technically cost-effective solutions
- Contribute to formal and informal design and development reviews at appropriate stages of projects
- Write reports and present results to internal and external audiences
- Prepare and execute simulation models
- Interpret test data, synthesize results, and report findings
- Gain exposure to high-precision manufacturing technologies required to produce advanced designs
- Assess designs using established DFMEA methods to develop robust products
- Contribute to project reviews and product development
