Role Purpose

The Account Manager will be the primary commercial interface between PHINIA and its customers, acting as the internal “customer champion” to drive customer satisfaction, sales growth, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the commercial interface, building customer relationships and representing PHINIA.
  • Communicate effectively under pressure and make informed decisions.
  • Defend and justify commercial proposals in a customer environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple customer contacts and across departments.
  • Build a global network covering multiple organisational sites.
  • Demonstrate a commercial mindset, maximizing sales revenue, profitability, and cash management.
  • Apply that knowledge to a reasoned annual and monthly sales forecast and actively pursue new business opportunities.
  • Drive growth opportunities by proactively identifying and nurturing opportunities within accounts.
  • Communicate the value of complex, technical products.
  • Lead the pursuit process from initial opportunity to customer quotation.
  • Negotiate development and supply agreements with customers.
  • Attend plant communications to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure quality procedures and guidelines are followed to meet quality objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of account management experience, preferably in automotive (OEM or supplier).
  • Degree in Engineering or Business (ideally).
  • Strong organisational, presentation, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make tactical and strategic decisions.
  • Accountability for workload and actions.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience developing value propositions and presenting business cases.
  • Experience managing customer accounts and developing a pipeline of opportunities.
