The role
We are looking for an apprentice to join our UK team. Your duties will expose you to all aspects of UK accounting and tax compliance. We will provide you with all necessary training and support alongside your classroom studies while you learn how to perform your duties. Initially, you will study for an AAT qualification (fully funded by Phinch). On successful completion of this qualification, you will be supported in further studies in your chosen specialism.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing UK tax returns for manager review.
- Preparing year end financial statements and computation of Corporation Tax liabilities for manager review.
- Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns.
- Processing monthly payrolls and submissions to HMRC.
- Submission of tax returns and accounts to HMRC and Companies House.
- Company secretarial assistance including submission of confirmation statements.
- Support to the admin function of the office including answering the telephone at busy times.
Skills
- Hard working with a desire to learn.

- IT proficiency (experience of MS Excel and Word desirable).
