A large, welcoming primary school in East Dulwich, Southwark is looking for an experienced primary teacher to teach a Year 5 class. This is to cover a maternity absence starting after Easter for the rest of the academic year.
The Role
In this Primary Teacher role, you will take on full class teacher responsibilities. You will work alongside the other teacher in Year 5 to share planning and year group responsibilities. There is an experienced team of support staff in place across the year group to support pupils within class and provide administrative support.
The school is looking for an experienced primary teacher with QTS and at least 1 year of teaching experience in KS2, as the appointment is mid-year and the class is slightly larger than average. You will need to be able to quickly establish a settled and calm classroom and continue the progress that has been achieved in the first term.
This role is paid to scale (MPS2 MPS4) and is offered on a full-time contract basis with a start in April until at least July 2026.
