We are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brent on a full-time basis starting in September to support learning and lead interventions.
The Role
In this role, you will be working across the Year 5 cohort, supporting pupils to make strong academic progress in preparation for upper Key Stage 2. Your main responsibilities will include leading targeted English and Maths interventions, working with small groups of pupils to build confidence, strengthen core skills, and close learning gaps. Alongside intervention work, you will provide general classroom support across the year group, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and helping to ensure all pupils remain engaged and challenged in their learning. You will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to monitor progress and adapt support where needed.
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant with previous experience or a strong academic background to support pupils in Key Stage 2, alongside excellent literacy and numeracy skills. Experience delivering targeted intervention programmes in English and Maths would be highly beneficial, although not essential.
