Supportive SEN and mainstream schools in Slough are seeking experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams on a full-time basis for the remainder of the academic year. The role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional and complex Special Educational Needs, both within mainstream classrooms and specialist support settings.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school day. You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and wider support teams to help deliver tailored learning activities and ensure pupils can access the curriculum in a way that meets their individual needs.
Main responsibilities:- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
- Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning plans and classroom activities
- Supporting pupils with communication, social skills, and independence
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
