An opportunity has become available for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Haringey to support a child in their nursery with Special Educational Needs.
The Role
In this role, you will provide 1 to 1 support for a child with development and communication needs. The child is in nursery and requires support in all aspects of attending school, including personal care. You will support the pupil within the classroom and outdoor play areas, as well as during other times in the school day such as lunch. Your role will include helping the child engage in play activities and socialise with other children.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO on progress reporting.
The school is looking for a confident SEN teaching assistant with previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs or in a care role for young children, comfortable providing this level of 1 to 1 support.
