We are currently recruiting a dedicated and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support a brand-new ASD and Speech and Language provision within a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Erith, starting this September.
The Role:In this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will work alongside a specialist SEN teacher to deliver tailored interventions and provide in-class support as part of the school’s newly launched provision.
You will play a key role in developing and implementing communication-focused strategies and resources to help pupils access learning across the curriculum. Alongside your work within the provision, you will also support children in mainstream classrooms to enhance their understanding and communication.
The School is Looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting children with ASD and/or with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
Is qualified to a Level 2 (or above) in supporting teaching and learning or a relevant qualification.
Is confident delivering small-group or one-to-one interventions.
Demonstrates a patient, empathetic, and flexible approach, open to learning specialist approaches through CPD such as PECS or
