A specialist school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Lambeth are looking for Primary Teaching Assistants with experience in behaviour support to provide daily cover for their long-term staff when there are short-term absences. If you are looking for day to day cover or a few shifts per week and have flexibility in your calendar then this role may be suited to you., In this role you will be supporting various pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a 1 to 1 and small group basis. Pupils attending the school have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream school settings and you will need to be committed to improving the lives of those affected by emotional trauma or mental health.

They are ideally looking for someone with a background in youth work or previous experience in a SEMH support role, who can provide support whilst maintaining high expectations.

Sports/PE coaches are also welcome to apply as physical activities are an integral part of daily activities for the students.

You need to have a positive and resilient approach with the ability to build relationships and de-escalate situations.
