Specialist Resourced Provision Lead Teacher

Salary: MPS/UPS TLR / SEN Allowance

About the Role

Philosophy Education is recruiting for a Lead Teacher to oversee a Specialist Resourced Provision (SRP) within a mainstream school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher with a passion for SEND and inclusion to play a pivotal role in shaping and leading high-quality provision for pupils with additional needs.

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day running of the SRP, ensuring effective teaching, learning, and support for pupils, while also acting as a key link between the provision and the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the strategic development and management of the Specialist Resourced Provision.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with EHCPs, adapting curriculum and approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Line-manage and support teaching assistants and specialist support staff.
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, reporting regularly to senior leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, external agencies, and the local authority to ensure effective provision.
  • Promote inclusion across the school, sharing best SEND practice with colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial classroom experience.
  • A strong background in SEND teaching, ideally with experience in specialist provisions or resource bases.
  • Proven leadership or middle management experience (e.g. SENCo, phase lead, subject lead).
  • In-depth understanding of EHCPs, SEND Code of Practice, and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and people management skills.
  • A passionate advocate for inclusive education with the drive to make a real impact.
