A high-performing Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in the London Borough of Lewisham is seeking an inspiring and resilient Primary Phase Class Teacher to work with Year 7 and Year 8 intervention students. The Role
- Deliver a KS2-style curriculum, including core subjects such as English, Maths and Science, tailored to the needs of younger learners working in a secondary setting.
- Plan and teach engaging lessons that support re‑engagement, confidence and accelerated progress.
- Differentiating learning effectively and working collaboratively with support staff to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with SEND and EAL.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on pupil progress, setting clear, achievable targets.
- Promote positive behaviour, mutual respect and a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- Build constructive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.

Person Requirements

- Be able to motivate, inspire and support students to exceed expectations.
- Use assessment, data and IT effectively to raise standards.
- Experience in alternative or specialist settings is advantageous but not essential.
