A welcoming primary school in Redbridge is looking for a motivated Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a science graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant looking to gain valuable school-based experience while supporting pupils through targeted intervention sessions and classroom support.

The Role

In this Science Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will support pupils across KS2 through a combination of classroom support and targeted intervention sessions. You will work closely with class teachers to help raise attainment, build pupils' confidence, and encourage engagement across science and the wider curriculum. You will deliver small group and 1:1 interventions for pupils working below expected levels, as well as those capable of achieving greater depth. Teachers will provide guidance, planning, and resources, while you support pupils in developing scientific understanding, problem-solving skills, investigation techniques, and confidence within the classroom. The role will also involve supporting teaching and learning during lessons, assisting pupils with classwork and practical activities, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The school is looking for a science graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant with strong communication skills, good subject knowledge, and a passion for supporting children's learning and academic progress. This role is offered on a full-time ongoing contract basis with either an immediate or September start.
