Geography Teacher – KS3 & KS4 Maidstone, Kent Full-Time – 5 Days per Week Immediate Start Until January 2027 – Potential to Extend KS3 & KS4 Geography AQA GCSE Geography Are you an experienced Geography Teacher looking for a new opportunity in Kent? A secondary school in the Maidstone area is looking to appoint a confident and committed Teacher of Geography to join their team on a full-time basis, starting immediately. The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, including teaching two Year 11 GCSE classes. The school follows the AQA Geography specification, so previous experience teaching AQA at GCSE level would be particularly beneficial. This position will initially run until at least January 2027, with the possibility of extending beyond this date. The Role As the Geography Teacher, you will: Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 Take responsibility for two Year 11 GCSE Geography classes Deliver lessons in line with the AQA GCSE Geography specification Plan and deliver engaging and appropriately challenging lessons Assess, mark and monitor pupil progress Support Year 11 pupils with GCSE preparation and revision Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department Contribute positively to the wider life of the school The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a Geography Teacher who: Holds QTS or has relevant secondary teaching experience Has experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 Is confident taking responsibility for Year 11 GCSE classes Has strong subject knowledge Ideally has experience of the AQA Geography specification Has effective classroom and behaviour management skills Is organised, reliable and committed to pupil progress Is available to start immediately Why Apply?
