An established and well-resourced primary school are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their school to support under 5s with special educational needs.

The Role

In this role, you will be supporting under 5s with special educational needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage. The school have had a larger number of pupils join the school this year with additional needs and are therefore looking for additional teaching assistant to join their team.

The pupils you will be working with have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language and development. Some will have previously been assessed and have Educational and healthcare plans in place, others will still be under assessment.

You will provide 1 to 1 support for individual pupils throughout the school day particularly in whole class carpet sessions. You will also be involved in leading small groups and interventions and supporting pupils to interact with others in learning and play-based activities.

You will be part of a team of staff in the Early Years delivering engaging, varied learning and development experiences. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff and may be involved in assessments and observations.

This role is offered as an ongoing contract basis.
