Are you based in South East London and looking for flexible work? We are currently recruiting staff to support with GCSE exams as Exam invigilators in Secondary schools

What does an Exam Invigilator do?

As an exam invigilator, you will be responsible for conducting examinations in accordance with examination board regulations. This will include; maintaining the security of the examination question papers, ensuring pupils are in right place and are following the rules of the exams. You will be involved in providing vital information such as start and finish times for exams and ensure that candidates have the materials and information they need. You will be guided by the permanent school staff and receive written guidance and training.

Who can be an exam invigilator?

Anyone with a committed and professional attitude can work as an exam invigilator. it is ideal for college or University student who would like some extra income, a parent looking to return to the workplace, or a retired person looking for a few hours work a week.

You will need to have an Enhanced DBS certificate on the DBS update service. If you do not have one Philosophy Education are able to help you obtain one from the government.

What are the hours?

Exams will take place in the morning and /or the afternoon allowing for the flexibility of half day or full day of Invigilation.

You would need to be able to commit to either 8am – 12pm or/and 12.30pm – 4pm or/and full day.

All applicants will need to complete Philosophy Education\’s full registration and hold an Enhanced DBS certificate before placement.
