A large, welcoming secondary school in Redbridge is seeking an Economics Teacher to deliver A-level (KS5) lessons following the AQA Economics curriculum. You may also support with Business Studies or related subjects at KS4.
What Students Study
Year 12: Students develop core knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics, exploring businesses, markets, supply and demand, pricing, market structures, and market failure.
Year 13: Students deepen their knowledge by analysing government policies, international trade, and financial markets. They study macroeconomic performance and policy, exploring key questions such as how government policies can boost growth, factors shaping trade, and the impact of interest rate changes.
Person Specification
- Experienced teacher/lecturer with proven ability to deliver the AQA A-level Economics curriculum.
- Strong academic background in Economics or a related discipline.
- Ability to inspire, challenge, and support students of all abilities.
- Commitment to developing students\’ independence, analytical skills, and ability to apply theory in context.
