As a Cover Teacher, you will supervise pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while maintaining a positive learning environment.

The Role

As a Cover Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the classroom teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage students to remain engaged with their learning.
  • Support pupils of varying abilities and learning needs.
  • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
  • Gain experience across a variety of schools and subject areas.
  • Choose assignments that suit your availability and preferred locations.
