SEN Teaching Assistant Bank Staff Daily Supply, Short term Streatham SEND schools Are you a Teaching Assistant who would like to work flexible days with children with behavioural and mental health needs? We currently have a large number of schools across Camden that are looking for confident and proactive teaching assistants with a good understanding of child mental health or a willing approach to support children with additional needs. As a specialist teaching assistant you will be working with pupils on either a 1 to 1 basis or class setting during the school day. Pupils will range in age from 5 – 11 years old and will have identified behaviour, SEMH, SEN including ASD needs that require support. You will be working with pupils in the classroom, in specialist mentoring sessions and in during some break times. Some pupils will display more challenging behaviour and the school will be able to train you in suitable interventions and approaches. As part of the child\’s support team, you will work closely with the schools SENCO and senior management team, as well as outside agencies including therapists healthcare professionals and CAMHS. We are particularly looking for people who: Have a flexible approach Are available for daily temp work are passionate about supporting children with SENDIf you are looking for flexible temp work alongside studies or other commitments, please get in touch.
